Why #LegalAidMatters to LSA staff
This week, members of our team shared why legal aid matters to them, in support of the Law Society of Scotland’s ‘Legal Aid Matters’ campaign. The campaign calls on the Scottish Government to prioritise legal aid reform.
Here’s what they had to say…
Amy McGilp, Communications Officer: Legal aid matters because every £1 spent on civil legal aid creates £4.55 in social value.
Stuart Swan, Solicitor: Legal aid matters because society is poor without it.
Karolina Dziedzic, Trainee Solicitor: Legal aid matters because knowledgeable advice leads to better choices.
Aaliya Seyal, Chief Executive: Legal aid matters because legal aid ensures justice for all.
David Alexander, Administrative Officer: Legal aid matters because tha e ion-ghabhalach (it’s inclusive).
