SALC: Launch of new website

Legal Services Agency is very pleased to share the launch of the new website for Scottish Association of Law Centres (SALC), of which LSA is a member.

SALC is the national body for the not-for-profit legal sector in Scotland, and in particular, for community-based law centres across Scotland. SALC has been established to ensure the provision of free and accessible legal and related services to people and communities, especially those who are marginalised and excluded, and experience discrimination or disadvantage.

This new website allows for important information regarding Scottish Law Centres to be found in one place. It is hoped that this will improve access to justice, particularly for those who would otherwise be unable to get legal support.

With a strong focus on SALC’s values of fairness, leadership, collegiality and collaboration, LSA is looking forward to continuing our close working relationships with partner organisations to ensure that we maintain a high quality of legal services and strong presence of law centres movement across Scotland.

We are very grateful to Andrew Burnett at helloau, who kindly offered to assist with launching the website pro bono. This generosity will have a significant impact by providing easy access to law centre information for people across Scotland.
