LSA Publishes New Employment Law Guide

Legal Services Agency is pleased to announce the publication of our new Employment Law Guide, written by volunteer Erin Sweeney and trainee solicitor Michael Sweeney, as part of our Employment Law Project.

Our experience in this area has highlighted that many people do not know what their options are when their employment rights have been infringed. This can make it more difficult to achieve a remedy in some cases.

For example, depending on the type of case, there can be strict time-limits in which to bring an employment claim.  Some enquiries that we receive are made outwith these time-limits – when redress is no longer available.

Our guide breaks down the choices available to people experiencing problems at work. It also signposts additional resources and organisations who may be able to provide further information and assistance.

We hope that the publication of this guide will help people understand how to defend their employment rights, so that they can make an informed decision on a way forward.
