LSA PUBLISHES NEW DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION GUIDE

Legal Services Agency is pleased to announce the publication of our new Disability Discrimination Guide, as part of the Disability and Social Justice Project.

Our work with disabled organisations and charities has highlighted that many disabled people are not aware of their rights in relation to service providers, and that they are unsure how to make a complaint or bring a claim. One example of this is that some enquiries that we receive are outwith the 6-month time limit to make a claim.

Our guide provides information and practical tips on making a complaint for those who are disabled who have experienced disability discrimination from a service provider. It also contains information about making a legal claim.

We hope that the publication of this guide will help to address the challenges faced by disabled people in accessing justice.
