LSA Welcomes Homeless Rights Project Volunteers

In the last month, Legal Services Agency (LSA) has welcomed student volunteers as part of the Homeless Rights Project, which will be delivered in collaboration with the University of Glasgow’s Open Justice Centre (GO Justice).

The Homeless Rights Project – an initiative led by Fiona McPhail (Lecturer in Welfare Rights & Social Justice, and former Principal Solicitor of Shelter Scotland) – places law students from the University of Glasgow with law centres who support individuals experiencing homelessness.

The project responds to Glasgow’s ongoing housing emergency by increasing the capacity of law centres to assist individuals in accessing homeless services, while also offering students valuable practical experience in social justice lawyering.

LSA is committed to supporting the next generation of legal professionals by providing meaningful volunteer opportunities that allow students to enhance their skills whilst making valuable contributions to the social justice sector.
